The Story Behind the Vision

SDF Cinema LLC was not built overnight. It was built on persistence, belief, and a refusal to stay average. Stephen D. Farrar II didn’t come from privilege. He started as an ordinary young man with limited resources but unlimited vision. While others saw obstacles, Stephen saw opportunity, numbers, structure, and strategy became his tools. He pursued cinematography not just as an art, but as a system he could master, scale, and turn into something bigger than himself.

At the same time, Alison Benitez was driven by a different, but equally powerful, force: creativity. From a young age, she was deeply connected to art and animation, with a clear dream of becoming a graphic designer and creative leader in visual storytelling. Their paths crossed at Full Sail University.

At that time, Stephen had already been developing a project for five years, an idea that would later become the foundation of the Rachel universe. In 2023, he shared that vision with Alison. What started as a pitch quickly became a partnership.

Alison joined as an Animation Lead, but her impact didn’t stop there. Through her creativity, discipline, and leadership, she quickly rose to Animation Director, and eventually became Chairwoman of SDF Cinema LLC in 2025.
